I can only understand this as Sony giving up our market to Microsoft. Anyways, we did some math here and it'll be cheaper to fly to Chile, buy a PS4 there and fly back here.Atmo wrote:My english is awful, but this article can help you to understand me.

Welcome, to IronHell.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

For a lot of products, that's true, but I need to see the specifics for the PS4, because sometimes the import tax is surreal.Stahlseele wrote:or . . you know . . ebay/amazon import . . right? O.o

Given Microsoft chose to give up "the rest of the market" to Sony (by dint of offering only bad features and XBONE HAS NO GAMES LOL), I think that's fair.nockermensch wrote: I can only understand this as Sony giving up our market to Microsoft. Mostly I'm surprised someone else is paying a bigger "fuck you" tax than Australia.

Don't know how import taxes work exactly in Brazil, but wouldn't you have to pay the tax then too? ((And not that anybody does it, but technically when you fly, buy it and then bring it back, you'd have to pay the import tax too))Stahlseele wrote:or . . you know . . ebay/amazon import . . right? I guess like Crapcom, Sony hates money.

Your freedom to run/play a game without needing to understand a complex rule system is in direct conflict with my freedom to play a character whose abilities and flaws function as I intended within that ruleset. Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.
In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.
For the PS3, that seemed to be the best guess. They started off with such a landslide of fuckups that I'm still not sure how the PS3 eventually overtook the XBox360.Lago PARANOIA wrote:I guess like Crapcom, Sony hates money.
For the PS4... there are a few countries they don't really care about - quite possibly there's a certain amount of "These consoles are fucking expensive, we'll sell them at a loss and make the rest off the games" going on for both PS4 and X-Bone, and it's a matter of "cutting costs" by deciding to just write a few countries off.
